General Boarding:
Our general boarding rate includes:
An individual
kennel with bed. Kennels may be shared on request by the owner, but is
restricted to a maximum of 3 dogs all normally resident in the one household.
Beds are hammock
style with new cover, and in winter a clean fleecy blanket is also provided to
snuggle into. We do also have some smaller, plastic "basket" style beds with
blankets that some of our littler guests seem to prefer.
You are welcome to bring your pets blanket or a favourite toy to make them
feel more at home. Whilst we take all care, we do not guarantee the return of
these items as sometimes your pet may choose to chew or demolish them!
No stuffed cushion style or bean bag beds please as if chewed they make a
terrible mess!
Food is included
in the boarding rate. This consists of a main meal and also a treat when
returning to the kennels after the morning play session.
Guests have dinner between 6 and 7pm (later during daylight saving). We use and recommend
"Natural Balance", "Supercoat" and
"Pedigree" products for our own dogs as well as guests. However we do stock a
variety of brands of both dry biscuits and wet foods and are sure to
have something to please even the fussiest eater.
If your dog is on a prescription diet
you are welcome to bring its food and we will feed this for no extra charge.
Other special dietary requests will also be accommodated if possible. You are
also more than welcome to bring extra treats especially for your dog.
A minimum of two
play sessions per day in our large exercise areas. The amount of time spent
playing outside varies depending on the weather and the number of guests.
During quiet periods the dogs can spend most of the day outside if they wish.
We do not leave the dogs outside if it is raining, or if the temperature
exceeds 30oC.
It is possible for dogs to have group playtime if requested. Many dogs enjoy
the social interaction and having someone to play with. Groups are sorted by
size and disposition. If in our opinion, your dog proves to be unsuitable for
group play it will be restricted to individual exercise.
Playtimes, whether alone or in groups are always supervised to prevent
accidents/injury.
All dogs staying 7 days or longer receive a free bath (depending on the weather) and brush on departure.
Pats and cuddles are free and freely given, we will do our best to ensure your pet is happy and contented during their stay at Fraser Lodge.
Extra Services:
Whilst the regular play sessions are usually more than enough for dogs with normal energy levels, we do offer onlead walks and also one on one play.
On Lead walks - these are
conducted around our area. During summer they are restricted to the streets and
parks, but in winter we also walk in the natural bush reserve opposite our
facility.
Sessions are a maximum of 30 mins per dog per day and charged in 15 minute
increments. So it is possible to have at most 2x 15 min walks, or 1x 30min walk
per day.
One on one play sessions - This can be
playing with the ball, playing tug, being brushed or just sitting and
cuddling... whatever you or your dog prefer! Guaranteed one on one (or two if
from the same household) time spent with your pet.
Sessions are billed in 15 minute increments.
(current maximum of 1 session per day per dog)
